Who is that character? I want to say Mikuru, but I'm not sure.

Or from an eroge. Maybe she improvized this character. Anime with pastel colours would be nice with her style.

I'm more interested in the technology itself. Being something of a computer nut in addition to being an anime fan, I find the possibilities of tablets and such being used for professional-grade work to be truly fascinating.

Gotta admit though, this kind of advertisement might very well work on me. I've already been thinking of investing in some of Wacom's products, and this is just more fuel on the fire for me.

Tech and my own things aside, I also thought getting an opportunity to see an artist like Noizi Itou at work to be truly fascinating.

I like these kinds of videos or "speed-painting" videos. It's interesting and relaxing to watch someone else do the work! Smile And I really love Ito's art style.

I do like my Wacom tablet. The screen tablets are definitely expensive, but I suspect for someone who does this for a living and prefers working digitally, it is well worth the cost.

Oh, the character, I think it's original, random girl. I think the artist doesn't want to draw some copyrighted character for wacom promotion. It would be a problem with copyright things and such.

Oh, and, what kind of sorcery was that drawing video?
I am really envious to the artists with such amazing technology. Drawing with a tablet like that is just so awesome. I hope someday I can afford buying Cintiq myself

The cintiq is an incredible piece of technology. I wanted a basic WACOM tablet to do drawing on my computer with for a while. I got a cheap one for Christmas one year and never could get used to wanting to rotate and draw from different angles so it mostly sat collecting dust. Then, one year when I went to Comiket, WACOM had a nice booth with the 21" cintiq and you could just walk right up and play with it.

I've long told people, if you want to draw on your computer, right now there is nothing better than a cintiq. If you have NEVER used it and want a tablet, buy a tablet and learn to be proficient. Because if you ever use a cintiq, IMO you'll never want to use a standard tablet again. I have a cintiq 21UX and I love it.

Even though I normally perfer traditanal drawing it always saddens me that such technology exisists to help make great pictures and I can't even use photoshop for crap Anime cry

still its a very nice picture and the technology used looks really helpful, using the various layers to help with the little details and such I assume? I almost mistook the character for Mikuru myself (I mean really its pretty convincing) but maybe I'll go out on a limb here and say thats the artist herself anime form? maybe? just tossing it out there.
