It'll end leaving us wanting more but it won't finish the story, since the manga itself isn't done yet.

Oh, boy, I am sure getting the impression of an entertaining show that will end in something fabulous-- though that something being more akin to a train wreck than something genuinely wonderful. And that might not only be due to how it may end before the manga itself gets done.

The signs are already there... we get Light's look-a-like at 0:21, the one prominently featured and busty female who's already on the verge of being raped in the first promo alone, the writer behind the High School of the Dead anime, and some random lady-android-thing near the end. It's only the lack of a Goro Taniguchi or Tetsuro Araki behind the director's chair that gives this anime any chance of ending smoothly. Laughing

I'm pretty sure that they'll be more than 12-13 episodes - Date first appears only in 37th chapter, and it's even a flashback.

It'll end at the 12th, 13th episode, using a cliffhanger ending in order to ensure a second season. Like Deadman Wonderland.

...wait.

right now alot of anime timed with the manga. It can end at the same time or after the manga is finished.

There's a glaring lack of explosions in my anime picks this season. Looks like this will fill my "BOOM" quota for a while.

Also, Nano's doing opening songs?! Congrats to her! (I love her nanoir album.)

Looks interesting. Might even check out the manga when Yen Press starts to release it.

Are you talking about the big chubby guy? Doesn't he appear early on (because spoiler[Himiko kills him right before meeting the main character])? Or am I thinking of the wrong person?

Flashbacks tend to get re-arranged for different adaptions anyway, though.

Anyway, the series is an action horror thriller with some... fanservice thrown in during non-frequent occasions. But at least most of the fanservice is taken pretty seriously. Like... the whole "raping" element in the series. It's a huge psychological element to the female main character and when things go in that direction, it really turns heavy.

Read a little bit about the manga a while ago and it seemed like this could be down my alley. Also, Madhouse. What better combination could there be then Madhouse and action? In for the violence and explosions!
