Personally, I'm wondering what made the list in 'Kono BL ga Yabai' this year...

They should show this to the psycho-kun that Kuroko's Basketball is high on the male list but not on the female list. Laughing

From the male listings as the female one looks actually decent, somehow:

5. Silver Spoon Hiromu Arakawa

They like it, a lot. I don't see the appeal, myself, maybe it's more an urban versus rural thing and while I'm not not rural, I have seen and touched cows, chickens and pigs before and yes, they're ... real. I got nothing.

8. I am a Hero Kengo Hanazawa

If Philip K Dick wrote a manga about zombies, maybe he'd have done something like this. And like every zombie serial, there's no where it can go, even if this one is more surreal than everything else can be. It was interesting, I'll say that much. No reread potential though.

13. The Flowers of Evil Shūzō Oshimi

The anti rom com manga, yeah, I remember that one. It's still going, that's, uh, why? Really, just why? It's getting an anime, well, the moe harem haters will be happy, I guess.

The lists are the result of surveys conducted among professionals in the fields of manga and publishing.

So that'd be the really popular stuff they'd want to have their names attached to and the really unpopular stuff they wished they were talented enough to come up with? I'm too cynical to picture a middle ground of good genre fare getting the insider nod.
