This is incorrect, as the movie had been produced with various international support, mostly comprising of Japanese and American. The animation, to my knowledge, was handled by Square's Hawaiian studio, who had also produced and made Final Fantasy IX. Directing duties were also Japanese and co-written by the Japanese, if the information on the ANN page is correct.

I like Lightning's new outfit, although I wish there was a better picture of it than a magazine scan.
There is another scan going around that has a few screenshots. I am really looking forward to this game. Maybe we will get a trailer soon.

Pretty sure Nomura didn't do that, but FF's art design does keep getting uglier and more shallow every generation it seems.

It looks a lot like Dark Knight Cecil's design, actually. Would make sense for Lighting to go for a more 'darker' look after the ending of XII-2, what with her sister being killed and all.

Whining about Versus XIII isn't going to make it come faster. Threats of terrorism might help though.
