I'd rather see a return of Godzilla films from the Japanese studios rather than wait for these greedy Hollywood babies to come to an agreement over money, or here's an idea, if you're gonna produce an adaptation off a something so iconic and having such a large worldwide fan base, get people who are actually interested in it for the sake of making it rather than just doing it because of the dollar signs in their eyes! I'm sure there's gotta be at least 1 Godzilla geek working within the Hollywood system that would jump at the opportunity to do this project because it's their passion, and not for just the profit.

The film hasn't even started production and legal issues are abound...I foresee it being set back another year, again...

Yeah, I read that and instantly thought, "Oh man, there is no way they can pull this off with only an oral contract, c'mon guys that's just not good." Barely plausible legal precedent isn't really good grounds for suing, might want to back off and just let it go.
