This has my interest, by far.

It's going to be interesting to see how they adapt the material into written form, since the story for the game was very thin, but exploration and atmosphere was amazing. I'm just hoping the manga and novel adaptions can still get this across.

Hmm that could be cool. There's not much story in the game, but a good adaptation could be really interesting, like creating a story behind each world, etc.

It seems a lot of fan speculation has risen around this game over the years, so I'm interested to see how (if at all) they choose to develop the plot. At any rate, it seems it has the creator's backing, so I'll definitely look forward to it.

I don't know what in the world will be born of this, but I do know it will give me the creeps.

Anyone with any interest in indie games should go and play the original freeware. There are very few games I would say truly stand alone and this is one of them; there is nothing else like it. A horror game where nothing on its own is particularly scary. Where atmosphere piles on top of atmosphere and little things like the varying sounds of your footsteps haunt your dreams.
