Like him one can only wonder how many creative minds and even companies do the same, well, we know many indie companies that do it and many artists that support it thou.

Hopefully Hitode applied the same to his own manga.

Too bad he used share, at least he should have used PD, share seem way too easy to track people down.

For all of you pro-copyright people, this should be a case to debate, why a creative mind was doing this himself? Didn't he as an artists believe in copyright? Why? Was copyright not to his won benefit and should respect it himself? etc.

So he got caught pirating material, basically. Was any of those ~15,000 files his own work? I very much doubt it.

Why, indeed? He was not the creative mind behind any of those 15000 pictures.

No kidding, that would have been the smart thing to do.

Because none of the stuff he pirated was his. Also, even if they were, he's not the only one who gets a say if someone pirates his manga. The company that publishes the manga and prints it, the stores that people buy it from, the magazine it's serialized in, if any. So even if an artist says "go ahead and pirate it" that doesn't mean anything; they're not the only one with a stake in the work.
