I really hope this isn't the case. I have waited too long for a LS 2 and this is the alternative I'm willing to take!

Lucky Star Spinoff?

What does that mean? Is it part of the 'Lucky Star'-universe? (still hopes for Konata cameo)....

I like how this guy thinks. This is really what I want.

If this is a spin-off that has Konata and the others as background characters with a whole new story, I would be 100% ok with that.

It having both ending and opening themes suggest it isn't, though.

There are short episode series with both of them, including Senyuu which was directed by Yamakan (though the OP is not in the TV version in its case).

Ha, this looks interesting! Very Happy

Of course, this is also the perfect time for haters to pull the "moe-is-ruining-anime!" card. Rolling Eyes

Well, the characters seem to be designed in the same style it seems.

Also I looked through the site and I spotted Saber and Dead Master figures! Very Happy

It is definitely in the same universe: The main characters of this had cameos in Lucky Star. Konata and Kagami singing the OP certainly seems to imply they will be in it.

Considering that their is almost a 0% chance that we will ever get a Lucky Star season 2 (it's been too long), I am definitely looking forward to this. I'm crossing my fingers that it will consist of full episodes and feature cameos of the characters from the original show (with the original seiyuu of course). >__<
