I've heard the PSP game shows more of their pretty terribly shown friendship. So maybe thats where this footage it's getting it's material. I guess it's good that one of the many problem area's is getting fixed.
Still why are they wasting their time on this series? Move unto the next series Sunrise or what about that Seed movie? Anything other then more Age. |

It seemed weird to me at first too, but then again, whatever the next Gundam series is will probably be a ways off anyway - and, this kind of allows them to try to salvage what they can from the series with minimal effort, while they still can. Foster an environment in which they can at least sell a couple more AGE-2 and Zeheart's Thingo Custom kits = Mission accomplished...for what it is.

They're clearly trying to sell Age to the "new generation" of Gundam fans as 00 can basically be considered as yet another flopped title. UC era, while still the best universe, is probably not doing too well with younger generations given its lengthy history as well as how long Unicorn has been dragging (similar to 08th MS Team).
As for Cosmic Era haters, Japan says otherwise

The only thing people like to do now when a Gundam project is announced is bitch about how much they hated the series it's related to and/or others.
Boohoo! AGE sucks! Boohoo! SEED Destiny is the worst! Boohoo! 00 is boring! Boohoo! Wing is overrated! Boohoo! Turn A is not getting dubbed! Boohoo! X is underrated! Boohoo! Zeta is the best, why does everyone not agree! Boohoo! G is super robot, that sucks! Whether you agree with these or not, the point is, GET A F*CKING LIFE!! Only just started watching AGE (8 episodes in) and first impressions are very positive. Hope I'll be caught up before this releases.

I'm kinda surprised their doing this in the first place, weird turn of events. Granted the story of these two did feel like they left something out when second generation's season went and gone.
Its properly going to be high school drama like rest most Japanese animes are these days. |

OK, now I'm interested in watching this compilation movie. The second generation arc was the one I hated the least, and I think it could have been much better if they had spent more time on Asemu and Zeheart's military academy days. Hopefully some of the new footage will cover that period.

It's called 'anti-nerd rage' and seeing as how Gundam AGE haters constantly shove their dislikes down people's throats, which is something nerds do, I think I have the right to tell them to piss off.
