Well, I'm happy for it to appear on the PS3 and Vita...
But I hoped that they would show a few seconds of the gameplay. Plus, no scenes for X-2... |

Ambimunch was talking about FF 13 Versus, which I think it's pretty safe to call vapourware. If it gets released I doubt it will be under the XIII brand. They did a similar thing for the PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0, which initially was FF Agito XIII |

I've always felt that X-2 gets way more hate than it deserves. Does it feel like a bit of a cash in? Sure. Is it tremendously silly? Oh most definitely. Will anyone looking for a full blown epic sequel in the same vein as X be disappointed? Of course. But as a goofy, fun, inconsequential spinoff I think it works okay. And for whatever criticisms you throw at its story, the battle system and by extension the gameplay is still pretty solid.

Sure it has it's good gameplay but it doesn't stop its main disadvantages. Within the Final Fantasy games I have, I replayed 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10 lots of times. Meanwhile FF102... I don't remember where is that game. |

How did I know this would happen? I make a statement how most people don't like X-2, someone chimes in with how Japan ate that shit up. Fine, I meant most of the west doesn't. I don't think you'd see Final Fantasy X-2 on anyone's best of list over here. I don't even think it would make a top 10 list of final fantasy games over here for most part. |

Well, it does fit with how Japan likes their games. Kinda same reason why FFXIII-2 was liked better over there... Japan likes playing as cute girls, while Westerners don't. I think thats about all it really comes down to. FFX2s story wasn't as good, but it made up for it with better gameplay, more stuff to do and a more fun and upbeat theme. Both are great games and I'm not sure if I could pick one over the other. |
