i wish they're "relicense" berserk ... with as many volumes out of print you'd think they lost the license or something

The Miku Hatsune manga being picked up by Dark Horse really surprised me, I wonder if this will make SEGA release the game in the US.

Really unexpected, coming from the self-proclaimed seinen juggernaut, and a title to ring in "25 years of manga" no less...

I'm indifferent. I like Miku, but...not enough to buy a spin-off manga with her and the other Vocaloids. This being the "big title" that teased about in the ICv2 interview feels a bit cheapened now.

Still, I completely understand why they went with the title, as Vocaloid/Miku have decent clout in the States, and the manga will probably sell quite well for them (or at least, I hope it does).

Not interested in the New Lone Wolf and Cub, as I never got around to that title in my earlier days (however, will be picking up their new omnibus releases of it).

Call me foolish and greedy, but I was hoping for something a little more...I don't know.

Edit: During the audience Q&A, it was also revealed that Dark Horse has Endo Hiroki's EDEN: It's an Endless World! on hiatus due to poor sales, but not canceled. They last released volume 13 on September 13, 2011.

SO, if Dark Horse's gonna release a digital version of OMG, does that mean they're stopping putting out a dead tree edition?
That'd most certainly suck, if that proves to be the case.

Hatsune Miku? Interesting. Not totally unwarranted in terms of it being something non-seinen, but different nonetheless.

It might as well be, given how they haven't released a new book in 18 months with no known plans on releasing another one.

Probably little to no chance of reprints for volumes 8 to 10. Already had the first seven volumes, then bought 11 and 12 at Fully Booked before checking the availability of the volumes in between. Oops. Might get lucky and find cheap copies locally; online the prices for EDEN 8, 9, 10 are through the roof.

Hooray, more Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service! Love that series, but it comes out so slowly I'm always afraid they've canceled it.

If Dark Horse continues to hold the licence to Eden it is probably only with a view to releasing it digitally. I very much doubt we’ll see volumes 14-18 in print.

Thrilled to see more Kazuo Koike being licensed (the last new Koike title was Color of Rage back in 2008), but with Dark Horse there is never any guarantee they won’t cancel. I’ll have to think long and hard before committing myself, because I have at least a half-dozen incomplete DH series sitting on my shelves.

Yeah, every volume feels like it might be the last. Releasing it only every Christmas is probably an attempt to boost modest sales. I’m really pleased it’s still going though.

I love vocaloid, but this manga in particular is pretty stupid. Kei's a nice artist and a great character designer but his writing ability is...not so great.
It's basically a collection of self-contained mini episodes that have nothing to do with eachother (in the same vein as those DiGi Charat anthologies) and while there are some nice/funny ones, the bulk of them leave a lot to be desired, as does Kei's method of visual story-telling.

I'm actually surprised that they are releasing the next part of Lone Wolf and Cub.
