Yeah, they are getting better, but they still censor most of what they put on. It really is too bad that they ruin and modify some of the better animes.

usually, yes. but i watched FLCL tonight, and didn't see any edits. they even left the ED completely intact. |

wow....just....wow, I really got to start listening to ANN more often. FLCL kicks the ass out of anything I've seen lately, I just finish watching it on cartoon network. The series is a godsend.

I didn't get to see it, which kind of upset me, because I've never seen the dub. I finished the series about a year(?) ago, and for some reason this whole CN thing is renewing my interest in the series.
But I do wonder what they're going to do about Naota's dad's split-second nude scene. It may not be worth cutting because I didn't even notice it until the second time I watched that particular episode ^^; |

OMG FLCL on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network brought me to tears because everything was intact! I was surprised that they left the jp text credits for the ED! I was shocked to see how cool they handled the promos, it was like this series was ment to be on Adult Swim! I really hope people will get into FLCL, one of the few under rated anime series of 2000's.
It will be interesting how ep 2-6 is going to be handled.. ahhh and they even kept Ride on Shooting Star ED! AH! THE PILLOWS ARE THE BEST!!! W00T!!! Shite I dunno why nobody has brought over these doods to the states! They [expletive] rock the clothes off of yahs! Oi.. for all who missed it, apprently they are going to rerun it again next week..Kudos for Brocolli/SP for getting it on CN ! |

ha ha ha watch both of those but whatever edits they didn't make in FLCL they did on Blue Gender. They cut out a whole battle scene, a sex scene (I don't mind that edit), and a bunch of the recovery team's deaths. Come on they were thare to rescue Yuji (though not intentionally) at least tell me how they die before they suddeny disapear from the series. The battles though were particularly bad... never did get to see the killing blows (the killing blows involve heads exploading) to those bugs (or 'blue' as they are known). If your into this kind of mad violence and blood spray (they edit both of those out on CN though...) I recomend this show if not well... watch it on CN and be happy you didn't see the bulk of the show... Wonder how they are gonna get the little plot in this show out wiht all these mad edits? hmmm...
