Yes, and? It's an old ass sound effect you encountered in nearly every single 80s TV anime. As to the video itself: what.

Weird that it got subbed with the dub's 'punish' line instead.

I don't know what sub you were reading, but this one clearly states "right wrongs, and defeat all evil" For a minute there I thought it was Lou Reed. Laughing

Woop, gaijin representin'!

Next, let's have John Wayne and Liam Neeson go and beat up the yakuza.

I remember David Lee Roth all right. He'd been a part of Van Halen and one of their biggest hits in the eighties was called "Jump." I also remember him as the goofy guy in a couple of music videos called "I Ain't Got Nobody" and his cover of the Beach Boy's song "California Girls." I never imagined that Roth would be in a Japanese short film quoting "Sailor Moon." It's a little weird for me to imagine it.

I'm not sure why it's weird, he spends a lot of time in Japan if I'm not mistaken. He is also some kind of martial artist and a vocalist who's far better than Sammy Hagar could ever hope for. However, he's no good without Van Halen, but what're you gonna do?

Uh, John Wayne passed away a long time ago...

@Mohawk52: The Japanese version simply uses "Tsuki ni kawatte, oshioki yo" which means "In the name of the moon, I will punish you". The "I shall right wrongs and defeat all evil" line (which actually isn't how it goes*) was created by DIC for their English dub.

*It actually goes "I right wrongs and 'triumph over' evil" (not sure if there was ever a "shall").

But the real line is:

"In the name of the moon, I shall punish you"
