Holy CRAP I'm jealous of people in Japan on the DOCOMO network! If I was on a US carrier like AT&T or TMobile (even if I could only use HSPA+ or simple 3G or EDGE) I'd totally get this baby unlocked somehow and import it! Anyone else thinking the same thing as me?

If this uses sim cards, I would consider ordering this and just buy a US carrier sim card to use it.

Well, according to this review from japanmobiletech - it supports all the GSM bands, but only 800, 850 and 2100mhz for 3G HSPA. That means, if you get it unlocked, you can only get 3G service on ATT where ever they have 850mhz running (not all markets are using 850mhz though). If not, you'll be stuck on edge the rest of the time. |
