Someone tell Viz this is an anime, not a Hollywood movie.

Well Viz, this looks interesting. Too bad I still can't see it until you release the blu-rays. I'd be most interested in a release date for those.

Why is it that Viz is doing the opposite of Funimation and Sentai on streaming? Sigh.

You DO know Neon Alley is available on PC now, right?

Plus the entire show in Japanese with subs is up for free legal streaming over on Viz's website:

I've heard of the show but never really looked into it but, from the trailer, it seems like 10 % "innocent man framed" story and 90% "Battle royale".

It's a little hard to connect the two...

I do know that. That doesn't mean that they aren't doing the opposite of Funi and Sentai, which they are. I'm focusing on the English dub as I have little interest in this show subbed. As such, all of my points will pertain to dubs.

Funi and Sentai have "on demand" streaming. Viz still pretends that it is a TV station and, related, posts its most appealing content at times when I cannot watch it.

While Funi and Sentai generally release at least some portion of their new shows to streaming before the physical media is released they do not force us to wait an unduly long, and often unknown (those 2 make their DVD/BD release dates are known) periods of time before the physical media is released...assuming, that is, if Viz releases the streamed show on physical media at all.

Sentai and Funimation also have mobile apps.

The episodes are available on i-tunes and other digital options as well. And all shows on Neon Alley are on BluRay/DVD and it doesn't take that long. So no it's not different.
