Very excited to see Ghibli take on Kaguya-hime. I'm a big fan of that tale and the heian era. Can't wait to see.

I'm digging the somewhat retro feel of the visuals. The colours have a faded quality to them that takes you back a decade or two.

I love the way this looks, I can't wait to see it. Speaking of Only Yesterday, I wonder if it'll ever get released here (I believe it's one of the Ghibli licenses Disney is just sitting on, along with Ocean Waves).

Takahata never gets the credit he deserves. I think Disney only wanted the Miyazaki name since they have no interest in 2D animation anymore.

Wow, now that was something! Very Happy

I'm so stoked that we're being honored with not one but TWO Ghibli films this year, I can hardly wait for both of them. And the fact that Hisaishi is now composing the score makes it that much more interesting. I've always loved his work in Miyazaki's films so I'm really excited to see what he does with Kaguya Hime.

Again, this looks fantastic, like another Ghibli masterpiece. I absolutely cannot wait to see it.

I met Takahata-san here in Italy several years ago. He was a guest in an animation festival called "Castelli Animati" and two of his movies were shown.
I still remember how he observed the public attentively to get their reaction and, I presume, see if even a non-Japanese audience could appreciate his movies. I also remember his humbleness. He looked like a really kind person, and I waited for a new movie directed by him for years.

This will be a masterpiece, I feel it. Maybe his last one, though... Crying or Very sad
