Surprised that this didn't also mention the info on the new artbook(s).
Since Takeuchi's working on the new manga release, she can't work on the new stuff for the artbook. So the artbooks (there will be 2) won't be coming until after those are done, mid-2014. And each country gets different bonuses. Source |

That's nice, but when are we going to get some info on the anime itself? Promotional art, staff announcements, that kind of thing. Toei hasn't even been confirmed as the animation studio yet!

Still no news about the actual work. I certainly hope they don't think they can provide a carbon copy of the original (or worse, the manga) today. Because even back then the limits of what they were trying to achieve (and IMO, the terrible skills of Takeuchi as a writer) were very evident.

Technically, I don't think they have. It's one of the many fan assumptions floating around, even if it will probably be true. |
