I know sports anime doesn't do well in the U.S., but just this once I'd like to see it be licensed and take off.

Geez, I'm wondering what the hell's going on too. This is insanity. I almost wonder if the manga author pissed someone seriously off back in his youth and they've grown into an extremely bitter adult that's determined to ruin his life.

does anyone even know why there is all this hate towards a sports anime/manga franchise? is it some how controversial or did the creator or publisher somehow piss off the fans ? i just find anything when i search as to why there would be this high a level of antagonism about a basket ball manga/anime franchise.
