WHY? There no point. to remake this. It already been made in live action movie. It going same thing. Just under different title.

I think this could turn out great if it's done right. It might seem like a Star Trek or Star Wars ripoff though.

enurtsol: Starblazers is the "white" version of Uchu Senkan Yamato, so, like Speed Racer, the Japanese origins of the show will be downplayed in the film.

That information is meaningless. The people who want to make the movie have decided which among them will direct it. Until they get a studio deal, there is no movie. That's the announcement to watch for.
