Hope we get a mobile version of this at some point in the future. I still play the first Soul Calibur on my iPad, though everything has long since been unlocked. And SC2 introduces some great characters, like Talim and Cassandra.

Sorry, but who needs HD remakes of Beat'em ups, which have newer version with the same + new characters? I don't really see the point in this. Someone enlighten me please.

Because previous versions can be preferable to the newer versions.

Fighting games have more changes between instalments then just new characters.

Based on this video I don't think that the iPad would break a sweat playing this game. That's not an "HD remake" but rather a cobbled-together port that just runs at a higher resolution. Textures are still low-res (look at the stone wall) and the models are lacking in polygons.

Superior graphics can be obtained from emulating the original game. There's everything wrong about that.
