Not much going on this week, aside from SnK.

Coppelion v1 and the hidamari sketch OVA next week. Here is hoping Hidamari reaches 15k~ BD/DVD's. A shame that coppelion might not even rank at all with its low estimate of 350 BD's.

Attack on Titan had a bit of a drop. I hope that after the last volume is released it manages to average 40-45k per volume.

Again, Japanese otaku fail to appreciate the neat things that a show like the Eccentric Family does.

This volume shouldn't have a problem reaching 40K, so it's not anywhere near being in danger of falling below that for its average.

A show not selling well does not mean the show is disliked.

Undeniably not liked enough to be considered worth a purchase though.

With anime BD's costing over 350 euro's, i'm not surprised. 2.2k is still rather decent compared to other tv anime.

Just depends if the production team lost money or not whether they'd do something like that again.

Not surprised Monsters University sold a ton. It was by far 2013 Japan's #1 movie until Ghibli's The Wind Rises overtook it:

  • Rank -- Movie Title -- Distributor -- Gross -- Release
  • 1 -- Kaze tachinu (The Wind Rises) -- Toho -- $119,513,192 -- 7/20
  • 2 -- Monsters University -- Disney -- $90,141,508 -- 7/6
  • 3 -- Ted -- Toho-Towa -- $43,994,113 -- 1/18
