I like how no one cares. Promote diversity in animation by seeing movies from artists like Satoshi Kon, damnit!

I saw the trailer for Tokyo Godfathers when i went to see Lost in Translation. It actually looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Sony had better get their asses in gear and hype this thing up now. Get some critic screenings going, send out screeners, print up some FYC ads like they've done with Triplets of Belleville, that sort of thing.

Finding Nemo is unstoppable, but I'd like to at least have a little teensy *shred* of hope.

Tokyo Godfathers isn't Oscar-worthy. It's actually more mainstream than Kon's last two films, thus creating the possibility that critics might hate it. Still, at least it's unique in terms of art and character designs.

Noticed that it's rated PG 13, which I thought it would be. That might motivate more people who think PG animation is still for kids(a possible reason for Millennium Actress' low take) to see it.
