The concept looks pretty fun and rare, considering how Christmas is usually compartmentalized into one dinky special episode for anime. Too bad it couldn't reach $100-150K a lot sooner; all the action scenes are looking rushed, probably to reach the deadline.

It's great to have the Japanese director himself reaching out to the fans at ANN.

The latest update features a nice trailer and the reveal of Bell's voice actor. I'm looking forward to this as the trailer looked quite nice in my opinion.

There's no real point in doubting. Anything can happen in Kickstarter. Heck the core staff of one of my favorite video games of all time (The Neverhood) had a really tough time on Kickstarter for its attempt at a spriritual successor (Armikrog). It was at less than 30% of its lofty initial goal (around a million dollars) with about a week left. Yet with a huge late push effort it was barely able to reach that goal on its final day. So anything can happen with crowdfunding if there is a passion.
