While I'm excited to see more of Yuuta and Rikka being in love with each other, I think I'm more interested about Dekomori and Nibutani's relationship.

No, just no.
KyoAni already proved they aren't able to do anything focused on girls anymore.
For example: "Shinka had fans? To hell with them, let's 'character develop'"
I wish they'd just go ahead and do what they want instead of a soulless milking like this.

I don't see how this can do anything but trivialize the events of the first season.

I'm pretty sure they're not giving it much thoughts besides "easy money for a project we don't care much about"

Right, no one at Kyoto Animation wants to do more of Chuunibyou. That's exactly why Director Ishihara said in an interview with bonet that he has a special attachment to this series and would like to do a third season and another movie if he could.

Please stop raging over Producer Hatta's (and other executives at Kyoto Animation) decision to animate High Speed! (which evolved into Free! due to Director Utsumi wanting to create a sequel instead of a literal adaptation).

Free! aside, they never exactly showed any sign of wanting to give male fans any catering like that.
In fact, even KNK only had heavy fanservice of a male character, none of the females. Maybe except that mother. Which, really, is not what your usual otaku would want to see.

Yeah, because Shinka fans will stop being Shinka fans just because she now has black hair.
We don't know yet if that's her real hair color or dye, so don't jump to stupid conclusions.

Elaborate.

This is the stupidest thing ever.
Of course they care about this project.
Why the hell would they make a movie and a second season if they didn't?
In interviews, the staff always express how much they care for the series.

So, wait... changing her hair color is an affront to her fans? What kind of fans were they if they only cared about her visual appearance?

Oh god, please don't try politics.

Would you please look at the staff involved in projects instead of just putting everything underneath one studio? Guess who was involved in that one webshort? Unit director/storyboard:Hiroko Utsumi. Who was series director for Free!? Hiroko Utsumi. Hmm.... Maybe there's a link between these shorts?

And before you say she'll turn everything into male fanservice, she also directed/storyboarded episode 5 of Chuunibyou (girls wearing school swimsuits/water fight), the Chuunibyou OVA (girls kissing), Hyouka episode 7 (both men/women in onsen), and the K-On! movie's B-part (conversation with Nodoka about going to London until the end of the first day in London).

Your arguments hold no water except to say "Utsumi isn't catering to me!" which is pointless because she's putting in elements she wants when she has the freedom (pun intended) to do so.

So now you chose not to believe that the staff doesn't care about their work? For what purpose?
And please, elaborate on your first statement.

That contrary to anime depiction, most Japanese people naturally have black hair but if their hair color changes, it reflects changes in their personality? What that has to do with fans, I have no clue...

I thought brown was her natural hair color but coloring it black seems weird somehow. It's funny that the "delusions" still has her with brown hair, so either Rikka or Dekomori can't let go of her old look. But I can see it going with her "I just want to fit it" outlook, even if it looks like a really fake black.

But never mind that, I want more Kumin and Isshiki, Rikka and Yuta and if I have to put up with those other two, I will.

To hell with Shinka and Dekimori fans; I got tired of their antics in first season, why do we have to put up with them again in the second? Kumin getting hit in the head with a ladle? Never gets old. Oh, that sound. Is she a Terminator?
