This anime was so, so good. And then episode 7 happened. Never dropped an anime faster than that. So much potential, squandered fo pandering idiocy. So, naturally, it had to get a second season.
I heard the manga was just as bad so I didn't even start reading.

Let me guess, episode 7 was the fanservice episode, and you couldn't "take it", thus missing the absolute awesome battle against Dark Berserker. How typical of a knee-jerk reaction.

It took someone 7 episodes to notice this had yuri elements!? That's a first one. 
It's a safe bet chagen46/Scriptor never stumbled on any of the manga (highly recommended, do check it out)...

Especially considering the OP of the show. The only think missing was the word "yuri" written in big bold red letters every second frame.

What. I just re-watched it and it's like any other Mahou Shoujo OP. I think your goggles are on too tight.
