That was his son.

Anyway, am I the only one who doesn't get the whole appeal of Miyazaki movies? They're pretty good, but nothing special; plus, his art style ain't the best.

The films credited and heavily associated with Hayao Miyazaki are the ones he wrote and directed himself.

For Arietty, Hayao Miyazaki only wrote the screenplay, it was directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi.

What I like most about Ghibli films are the visuals and art style. After rewatching a lot of these in adulthood I do admit that the stories aren't too amazing. However, (despite the flaws), Kiki's Delivery Service will forever be in my heart because it is one of my favorite childhood movies.

This video was beautifully made. I love Castle in the Sky's theme a lot and it fit with the mood of this tribute video.

That's cold to not mention Toshio Suzuki in the founding.

The 3 of them did it together. Especially since Suzuki was a producer so he had the brunt of the money to even make it possible.

I don't really like the artstyle, but I do like the wholesome, family feel his movies have. Like, I can sit down with my parents and show them most of his movies (they don't 'get' anime) and not fear there will be tons of fanservice and excessive cursing.

No, that was his animation director.

Fortunately, Crunchyroll is still streaming his six episodes of Sherlock Hound, to answer the question. Very Happy

*All his feature film works. He also directed the awesome anime series Future Boy Conan with Takahata in '78. Very Happy
