Read the rest of the article again. You get 3 movie's length of video content (really, a bit more than that), physical goods and a ton of other bonus video content. Really good deal, to be honest. Out of my price range despite how much I love Macross, but a good deal none-the-less. I wish I could afford it

A really good deal if you can understand Japanese. Regardless, I wanna order this because I want the movies subtitled in English and it's never, ever getting a legit release over here. Too bad Amazon Japan won't ship it over here and it doesn't seem to be listed at CD Japan.

For a Japanese pressing, with bonus materials and english subtitles those prices are not bad at all.

It'd be nice if it was easier to import than it appears to be.

If you don't like Amazon's packaging or delivery methods or not shipping something to where you live there are Japanse-based forwarding services like fromjapan who can do this for you. I've mainly used them for buying secondhand goods from Amazon resellers in Japan.

PS, it would be very good to be able to get the Macross Frontier 25 episode series with English subtitles.

Yea, Amazon Japan doesn't ship to America. I was seconds from pre-ordering it then it said it doesn't ship to my address. Now I have to wait a bit to see if CD Japan will have this.

Wow this is retarded. They have English subtitles but they DO NOT ship outside Japan. How stupid is that? ... Just my opinion.

It appears to be sold out on CDJapan for those wondering - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BLJS-93014

Still available on AmiAmi where I preordered mine - http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=GAME-0010432

It's listed under game because of the Hybrid Discs PS3 function.

The BD box is "out of print" at CD Japan though I suppose it could come back in stock if they get another allocation, but they still have the DVD version listed. Must have went quick. You can still preorder the BD at AmiAmi (which I just did), but I am not taking that as a guarantee that I get a copy.

Edit: beat by like 10 seconds by EighteenSky.

Meanwhile, this guy pre-orders a 59.99$ 12-ep, bare bones release with a subpar dub and feels like he made a great purchase.

Shocked

Was going to get it from CDJapan as i've used them before and only had great experiences (got the Mononoke Hime BD one day before the official release!), but sadly it seems they're sold out. I'll have to check out that other site people have linked though.

Just to clarify, Amazon Japan will not ship most games to America, and this box apparently has been classified as a game due to the PS3 hybrid content. If it was classified as a movie, we could probably get it.

Probably true, since Amazon Japan shipped the Madoka Magica BD's to America.

Have bought a few anime BD and DVD boxes there, but every game I have ever looked up in the past says "cannot ship to your default address." Has to be the issue here unless I am crazy, though not discounting that possibility.

Amazon Japan does ship to America and everywhere else. I've imported anime from amazon Japan. Its true like the other person said, its classified as a game and amazon Japan doesn't ship games to America apparently.
