Horseradish sauce is horseradish+mayonnaise. Horseradish and daikon are both Brassicaceae family root vegetables. So they're interchangeable. Cherry blossoms taste like salty plum. The flavours work out. It's just a gentler version of horseradish sauce that's a bit more sour. I mean, there's beet-horseradish sauce in America and most of the Eastern Europe and that's pink too. It's not anything new. |
