You can't really say. Some do and some don't. Depends on the Japanese publisher. Bakuman and Jormungand anime covered the entire manga.

I really enjoyed the anime and wish there was a second season coming (maybe there is?).
I think once this finishes, I will pick the whole series up as I really like the survival-game idea and I really liked the character design in this series. The music was also really good and NaNo should be signed on to do more open/ending themes for more series.

You can't really say. Some do and some don't. Depends on the Japanese publisher. Bakuman and Jormungand anime covered the entire manga. |
Bakuman aired on NHK-E and Jormungand only got 1 anime series(split-cour).
Its very unlikely for a unpopular anime to get a 2nd season after the manga has ended. Looking at the anime sales, I'd say the chances of a 2nd season are close to zero.
