Armin's voice is marvelous. Hell, everyone's voices are marvelous.
Hell, even Mikasa's voice is growing on me

Considering how hard Funimation is hyping this, I wonder how much they had to spend to get the license. It must've been a lot.
And yeah, Mikasa sounds a lot more like Mikasa in this one, IMO. OTOH, I wonder if getting Stephanie Young (Claire from Claymore) might've been a better choice? IMO, there's a lot of similarity between Mikasa and Claire. YMMV. |

Agreed, that was fantastic, they were great in this clip. Jean's voice is gonna make me think of Jean Havoc for a while lol
Also hype line: "Let's go kill some titans!"
Yeah I think she sounded quite good in this one. Stephanie Young would have also been a pretty great choice too, loved her as Claire and Olivier. |

Why is everyone so worried about Greg Ayres? Vic Mignogna or Todd Haberkorn are more likely since their Funi's golden boys.

And people need to stop thinking this. Do people NOT know that Vic has moved to CA some time ago? Along with Todd. When was the last time you heard Vic or Todd (aside his returning role in Fairy Tail) for a major/minor role for Funimation or Sentai? It has been a while since they done any roles for those companies. Hell, last I heard Vic, he was a MINOR character in Dream Eater Merry, and since then, he hasn't done anything else for Sentai. He's gone people, Vic isn't doing anymore work for Sentai or Funimation. Hell, he hardly gets any work for Viz, he doesn't voice original cartoon work...he not an active VA. And before the come back is said of, "Well, they can just record in CA." No, they can't, Vic has stated in the commentary of the Tsubasa OVAs, that they always have to drive/fly in for their roles, even if they have their own recording studio. And on that note, Chris Patton also has phased out from doing anime work for Sentai. |

Vic's last main role for Funi was Prince Baka in Level E, which was released in Dec 20 2012. since then, he's been Greece in Hetalia and Trick in Railgun.
Todd's a little more active, but he's mostly been secondary characters |

So many people were so set it Armin being played by Maxey, including myself, but this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Josh is good with wimpy characters so I think if they had to pick a male, they picked the best one for him. Jean's pretty much grown on me and I loved Reiner, Annie, and Marco. Mikasa, though, still seems a little over the top to me. Maybe she'll sound better when they're not in sire situations.

I've been in love with dub Armin's voice since the first time I heard it. Of course I've been biased of Josh Grelle ever since he was in Princess Jellyfish lol.
