Excellent, more Fairy Tail :>

And with the upcoming FT (2014) to debut this Spring, I'm quite excited.

What if the spin-off about Gray is the story about him being the next Rave Master? which he would have been.

Mavis , hell yeah. I remember on the anime, it said that Fairy Tail, the guild, has some dark past and dark secret.

How do you simulcast manga? It's not a video.

As long as the quality of work doesn't drop due to him overworking himself, I'm all for this spin off. It could be quite interesting to read, and getting to see more of Mavis is a good thing.

Release the chapters around the same time as they're published in the Japanese magazines, rather than waiting for the volume releases.

Not unlikely, seeing as CR and Kodansha have a simulpub agreement and Fairy Tail is one of the flagship titles.

All sounds good to me, but this part is confusing:

Quote:
Fairy Tail manga creator Hiro Mashima announced on Monday that a new magazine called Monthly Fairy Tail will launch. Every 2,980-yen (about US$30) issue will include a DVD with four television anime episodes.

So is this in addition to the new FT series that is starting up in April? I presume not, because 48 episodes a year is a pretty significant production.

Maybe select previous TV episodes?

With a spinoff focusing on Gray, we could learn probably learn about his family background. I hope we can also learn more Natsu and Laxus's family backgrounds as well.

Wait a minute, wait a minute. Hold up, hold up. So, like, a magazine magazine? Multiple manga chapters, all various Fairy Tail stories? Ads for Fairy Tail stuff inbetween? And then four episodes of the anime? What in the actual hell is going on?

If I didn't know any better, this seems like a thinly veiled attempt to move anime discs, which apprently did not fly off the shelves the first time around. I'll give Kodansha this: these past few months, maybe a year or two, has been a very earnest push for this series. The hype is not half-assed like Shueisha and Toriko.
