Met him in an elevator once at AnimFest in Dallas. Coolest guy in the world.

And he held at least 4 panels and 2 autograph sessions during those three days. The man was a machine! I've seen him at Anime Expo and at Anime Boston, and I'd be more than happy to see him a third time. He brings a lot of energy to his panels, so it's a lot of fun to be at them.

Well, since he hasn't directed a series in years, I suppose he has plenty of time for conventions. Smile

He also attended Sugoicon following said heart attack, lol. Got to watch him film a live-action movie about two manly tanks in love saving Puni Puni Poemy.

Guy gets around. He's always at Sugoi though.
