Conan opened with ¥789.3M, +17.5% over its previous movie and the highest opening weekend ever for Conan.
Boxofficemojo has Frozen at ¥823.6M. The discrepancy? Conan is #1 in admissions; Frozen #1 in revenue for that weekend. Week after, Frozen is leaving Conan behind. This weekend, it's taking on Thermae Romae II. And then it's Golden Week. 興行収入１００億円突破 アナと雪の女王 |

I was worried enurtsol wouldn't have any ammo for pushing his usual Pro America schtick. Thank God he found some minuscule detail to springboard into his usual soapbox as he does in every thread.

Pro-America? Do ya even notice the many times I make fun of America? I'm equal opportunity - I give praise and make fun of anything, whether America or Japan or otherwise. 
And how about you? Have you ever said anything positive about America? Negative about Japan? You should be the last one to be calling out anyone about bias. There's over 9700 of my posts here, and ask people about different stuff I do. Then dare ask people what you're known for. You don't do anything else. And if what I'm saying here is pro-America, then guess the whole Japan is doing pro-America. Because the Japanese are the ones who's giving Frozen the spectacular run that's only usually seen for Studio Ghibli films. (What, ya can't stomach that the Japanese are actually having different tastes than you? Does that break your world view?) Frozen is doing something rare, and that's why it's worth mentioning. |
