It deserves every bit of praise it gets. I didn't even know Shinkai before this and now i am eagerly looking forward to his next work.

I loved this movie it was very short though. Like most of his movies I always get sad at the end. It's beautiful how he portrays love.

well deserved. this may be shinkai's best film to date. certainly it is up there with 5cm per second. incredible animation/art and character moments in this one.
