Man, a nation with history spanning over ten millennia, and their own entertainment industry (read: manga & anime) keeps exploiting only Heian Period, Warring States Period, Meiji Period, and WW2. |

Well, considering how Kaji and Miyano sound so much alike (...), it seems plausible people might confuse them by voice alone...

Well comparing it to Nobunagun or Nobunaga The Fool is kinda.. (well it's Nobunaga  ) cause this manga is accurate history-wise.
Every country have it's "favorite" history moment - EVERY. Even when it's exploited to the maximum in mass media, it just goes this way. I can guarantee that this manga is really interesting. It goes it's own way to surprise readers. Also that cast :O I'm crossing fingers for it's general success. It's the first manga from Gessan to get anime, most of mangas from there are more suitable for LA and I'm pretty surprised that it got anime. Looking forward to it. |

Don't get me wrong. I don't mind same materials getting explored over and over again, provided they're done well. OTOH, it also won't hurt to make things more... you know, diverse. It's always fun to see and learn something new. Also... yeah, really happy to see a Gessan title getting anime adaptation. I own some titles from Gessan magazine. Lots of them are among my favorites. Interesting premise, (more than often) serious story, nice artworks, and less "cheap" (hopefully you know what I'm implying here). Kinda sad almost none of them adapted into anime 
Okay, just read its basic plot & several sample images. Looks right up my alley.

Heh, he's just sixteen years old young man and timing started long before he's got any fame on his name. But yeah, this manga is good in terms of history accuracy of the Warning States Period. |

I'm a bit disappointed by the premise. Going by the title I was expecting Nobunaga to become an orchestra conductor.

The headline states that Kaji will voice the main character who time-travels, whose name is Saburo, right? Then the article says he'll voice Nobunaga and lists Mamoru Miyano as Saburo. I'm confused.

This isn't exactly an otaku-pandering show, i.e. no cute characters to "destroy" (looking at Flowers of Evil here), and it's supposed to be a dead-serious, historically-accurate take on Nobunaga's life as well as the Warring Period. It's not something that will sell tons of BD/DVD from the very start. So it's gonna be OK... I guess?
Here can only pray they'll go all out with whatever CG & rotoscoping technology they use. I trust that this time, they won't go half-assed with their own history... just for once.
