I know why this is a horrible idea.
But just do it.

I'd honestly be interested in such an awkward, doomed-to-failure idea...

If it's a prequel set during one of Homura's previous loops it could work... Have it be about trying to solve the mystery of either a disappearance or an unexplainable murder and the cause would be a witch! Of coruse the magical girls would be invovled in the investigation somehow...

A major crossover?

Part of me wants to think it would cross over with Attack on Titan, but that would be impossible. A crossover with Kindaichi might make sense, since I don't think they've ever crossed over in an anime/manga story yet.

Or maybe this collaboration crossover would involve more than one manga series apart from Detective Conan.

As a fan of both Detective Conan and Silver Spoon, I would definitely want to see that kind of a crossover. Anyway, it makes some sense since the two series are the top-selling shonen series of Shogakukan at present. Plus, Hachiken and Conan are smart guys, and Hachiken can provide a lot of the comic relief, so I think it's possible.

Me too! I would love to see this happening. The case involving farming animals disappear without truce would probably fit the story, as you know, Murder cases does not work with comedy series.

There is a Kindaichi and Conan cross over game and given that Kindaichi has been getting more anime made for it recently that is the logical choice I think.

I wonder whether Hollywood's curent batch of superhero crossovers prompted this, in addition to how successful those past Lupin/Conan collaborations were, financially if not creatively.

True. It would be awkward for a lighthearted story like Silver Spoon to feature the murder of a human being.

Interesting point you've made here. This is starting to solidify my belief that the crossover may involve a lot of manga series.
