Surprised he's going to a monthly series since he managed Medaka Box decently on a weekly run.

From what I read, it will be an adaptation of the second book of the Ningen Series, which is a spin-off of the Zaregoto Series. There is already a manga adaptation of the first book.

Was hoping for a new unique series I could actually get into, not a spin-off of a spin-off of a novel I'll never get the chance to read.

I don't know how is the involvement of the original author in the manga adaptation, so I can't say for sure.

Well, I have a certain interest in this manga because I like Zaregoto and Zerozaki is one of the most interesting characters of the series. But the translation is reeeeeally slow, so I don't have any plans to read now.
