NOOOO! This is so sad! Of course I'm sad that SPYAIR is going on hiatus but Ike-san's health comes first. I hope he gets better soon. This is so sad to hear...

I saw this when the ruckus all started. It's very sad. I'm a big fan of Spyair, and even went to one of their concerts at a college near Tokyo. I especially love Ike's vocals, and honestly, Spyair wouldn't be Spyair without him. I know it must be very painful for him, and I really hope he recovers.

I really hope Ike gets better. He needs time to recuperate and the band needs to see that.
Hopefully new news comes out on his improvement and that the band, SPYAIR, hasn't broken up. I really like their work for Haikyu!! Imagination is a wonderful song. They definitely have talent. |

Sad news. I've come to like them more and more over the last couple of months. I hope he gets better and they find a way to continue.

Had some friends who saw them last week in Fukuoka, and they noted that his vocals weren't too great for the majority of the concert.
Guess that performance made him realize it was time to at least take a break. |

These are very sad news to read, I hope he gets better and the band is able to get back together, I've really loved their latest works. Just One Life is freaking awesome and Imagination is really cool, I really felt they were hitting a very great point in their music and it's sad to know they're going on hiatus now. I really wish them the best

This is sad news. I hope Ike recovers and not to breakup the band. As a big fan of Spyair, all can I say is "Don't give up!!"

While probable, it's still not right to make assumptions. Japan does have a pretty high % of smokers though compared to places like the US. Seems to me like his vocal issues are hitting him hard emotionally. I'm sure he doesn't WANT to give up but feels like it's his only choice with his illness. I've been there with my guitar and piano playing. |

Oh, no! I like their stuff quite a bit and it's sad to see this happen. Praying for Ike's return to health!

Think if he'd said "Health problems", all the fans would be pulling for him, but "I'm quitting!" while it gets a shock on Twitter, sounds more like internal squabbles in the band--
Which the other band members didn't want to give the bad impression was the case, they "weren't giving up". Haven't heard their stuff, but good to know it's for the right reasons. |
