I knew we'd get this list, and YET:
- No Ranma Saotome - No Lina Inverse - No A-ko - No Lovely Angel Kei Maybe cultural literacy among fans is the key to improving the current state of anime.

I largely agree with the list with the exception of two I haven't seen and can't judge(though I would slide in Lina if I got to replace them). Keep on being awesome, otaku.

So yeah it is series popularity based then since the order is pretty much the same as Black and Blue. That's pretty lame.

Was about to mention Lina myself, Ranma-ko is a bit of a toss up since his hair is normally black and the manga version for her hair is a toss up. But at least Shana was on the list. |

Don't know who Erza is, but i'm very surprised that Rias isn't on that list... Considering the popularity of both the anime & the LN, as well as the expensive figures she gets it's a mystery indeed. |

(Well, yes, except that all these series have just come back again over the last couple years, in either revivals or new vintage disks, except for A-ko. But, like you said, they didn't ask us, they asked a lot of moe-headed neurotic Madoka Magica-obsessed Akihabarites.) |

Wouldn't have expected Akari to be up there but i'm glad she is! My favourite out of that list.
I'd say she was more ginger/brown. |
