According to the picture of Ryōta Kawara, he's voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto, not Shintaro Asanuma.

Because the picture was from the VN which is actually not really voiced.
the creator (in the game) wrote:
The cast was released on April Fool's with voice credits. This game doesn't have voices, though. Sorry.

Quote:
The name of each character's voice actor will be displayed when they are introduced. VA freaks, please imagine those actors' voices.

Just like Ryouta -who was supposed to be voiced by Okamoto but probably couldn't afford having him to voice the character-, Nanaki was supposed to be voiced by Hirofumi Nojima. And Oko should be voiced by ???

But I wonder what kind of "remake" is it. According to the creator, the lines will be almost the same as the original but the engine is updated for newer OS. Some picture will be in HD (dunno what does it mean because there's no real stunning CG to begin with)

Hopefully they will change the layout of the VN because at times it's quite hard to read.

You're right. Sometimes, I imagine certain anime characters being voiced by different voice actors. The ones I prefer. Razz

Well Japan did sort of whitewash (or should I say "yellowwash" or "anime-ized") American game (well this was in the early 90's), Police Quest 2 is one example:

Kotaku-Japan, what the hell did you to do this classic PC Adventure game??

Cue the purists praising Japan for yellowwashing American game and continue to condemn what US did to Japanese game. Laughing

Oh good, if you hadn't linked to Angie Gallant's Let's Play, I would have. Since there's already an english version, I'm hoping this means they're going to try to polish it up a bit and get it on Steam; I think it could do really well there. It's certainly got enough quality to it, anyone who can actually tie everything that happens in Hatoful Boyfriend together into a logical, coherent story has some major skills.

I hope I'm not coming off as negative about the way this was posted, but probably a few small warnings about some small tidbits in the article. If someone hasn't played the game in full yet, while I don't go into any specifics, I don't really advise reading:

1. Iwamine Shuu doesn't ask students for body parts. Until you hit the very end of his route, he's just a teacher with creepy vibes. In case people want to play the game, I suggest you fix that so it's a. accurate and b. not spoilerific for the end of his route in any fashion.

2. You're also missing Anghel, but that's not a big deal. (You can say he's pretty chuuni for someone in highschool, but I wouldn't say more than that because it'd be too spoilery for information inside the Bad Boys Love route for those who haven't completed the game yet.)

4. Kazuaki is full-on narcoleptic, but I'd probably not point out that there's anything "more" than that because I guess that could take some of the shock off of his role in BBL?

5. Nageki's wings are both in-tact.

6. Hato also means "dove". Which I guess is really silly to point out and really doesn't matter. Just in case anyone's interested.

Sorry if I sound really ridiculous, but still. The game takes less than two hours to beat and you find all of this stuff out in even less time than that. ": P
