Is there a chance that after this sequel novel is launched there will also be sequel for the anime series as well? It is one of the best horror thriller series in recent memory, so the anime series deserves a second season as well.

I too would like another season. It's a pretty cool show. I just hope it is not too repetitive though, if only to push for just a littttlllleee more horror anime.

Well, "Another Episode S" came out last August so if they wanted to make an anime version, they could have announced it at any time! That fact that they haven't... well, they still could I suppose. Was hopeful they would.
Now another series, this one not novels but light novels and a series of them is interesting. Another and Another Episode S were both single novels, though a soft-cover 2-book version of Another came out later. A series of light novels might be more adaptable, more like your usual LN anime adaptation than trying to turn a single book into a cour of anime though they made 2 cour out of Shinsekai Yori, also a novel.

there is always a chance for any LN to get an anime.

The Another anime did pretty poorly sales wise so don't get your hopes up on another season of Another. And yes the original was a novel, NOT a light novel.

Seconded. (Edit: no, Thirded). After its initial magazine serialization, "Another" came out in hardcover and was stocked with regular fiction in the Japanese bookstores.
"Another S" as I understand it isn't exactly a sequel; it tells what was going on with Mei during the period she was out of town in the original. So it's kind of a side story or a lost chapter.
