This proto has been out for a long time. Unless you didn't compile your own, I know the batches weren't audited with an 1337 mindset.

Played it on dreamcast back when that was a homebrew hot bed.

Todd did you play Battle Princess of Arcadias?

Jesus. Please tell me the US version of Hollow Fragment isn't going to read like that.

Relationships with other characters progress from hand-holding to “bridal carry” requests and, eventually, bedroom conversations in scant clothing. This is apparently even possible with Silicia, who looks like a grade-schooler, and Leafa, who's controlled by Kirito's own cousin/stepsister. Yuck.

That's a funny way to spell "hot" Wink

Bandai Namco EU's Community Manager said the western versions of SAO should have a different translation than the one seen in Asia.

I didn't see the mention of SAO as digital only in the US. That is the main reason I won't buy it.

Also you can read about the edits to Crime Girls on the NIS forums, seems they have backed off somewhat, they will still make edits, but not as drastic as originally intended.

^This guy gets it.

I'm not an SAO fan in the least, but I was considering picking up this game. Originally I thought you could create your own character and play in SAO, which honestly sounded cool. But seeing now that you play as Kirito has made this a no-buy for me. Shame too, I sort of wanted to play this one.

The game has actually given me an excuse to buy a Vita.

But it wasn't the promise of elaborate gameplay that established Sword Art Online. It was the story and its inherent wish fulfillment.
Christ man. Could you make it any more obvious that you don't like the series?

It's not like wish fulfillment is a bad thing. Everyone wants their dreams to come true!

Developers realize SAO MMORPG is their wish-fulfillment.

Well sure but the term 'wish fulfillment' is almost always used to discredit a show. Especially in the case of SAO.

Although speaking personally, there's about a million scenarios in anime I'd rather take part in than the one where I could get killed for my video game playing skills and/or have to watch people around me die left and right for their's. Harem and immense power or no that sounds like a pretty miserable existence to me.

Of course this game in particular where that threat of death doesn't exist but you still get the fun stuff and the cute girls is, for the lack of a better word, wish fulfillment. But what game isn't wish fulfillment? What's the point of singling out SAO?

Well, the version here is the one released for the rest of Asia. Hopefully, it's redone for North America. Although, screens on Bandai Namco's website show one that reads "Avatar Create" rather than "Create Avatar." But that may be something that carried over from the original Japanese version...

Are you sure you're not thinking of this? It's a fan hack that restores some of the censored bosses, but not the horseback ape or the gremlin or the alien robot.

I haven't played Battle Princess of Arcadias, no. I should fix that, since I do like brawler-RPGs.
