That wish was actually something I didn't mind so much in GT, probably because I like Goku better as a character when he's a kid. |

I can't help but notice that the "source" credited for this article appears to have taken the content wholesale from this post on Kanzenshuu. Especially because I'm the one who translated that snippet from an article on Oricon's website expressly for Kanzenshuu, and have not given permission to anyone else to use it.
The translation itself was no more than a few minutes' work, but gathering the information and drawing on historical details to flesh out an article takes time, effort, and (because guidebooks and magazines aren't free) money. Maybe that wish is everyone on the earth including children and animals can transform into super saiyan. Their new enemies are the earthlings - The people whom the Z fighters used to protect them against the villians all the time.
If this will not make you despair, to put bluntly: Even the robbers nowdays can rob any banks at their heart's content and even Videl will have a hard time chasing & fighting them let alone the police force. |

So the DBZ is now official alive outside of vidoegames?
Can they possibly reach around 20 movies again before they burn out ? I know that they fough Hitler in one of them. Something new about the original series or Dr Slump would excite me way more but i never liked Z. |

Anyway, back on topic.
I'm kind of intrigued by the choice to have Yamamuro direct, since he's never directed an episode, let alone a theatrical movie, of Dragon Ball before. That said, he's boarded quite a bit in his day, and a few key scenes in Battle of Gods (Beerus and the chopsticks comes to mind immediately) were also almost entirely his, so he clearly has the chops. The bigger question is whether he'll enforce his art style on the film, since I'm not a fan of his rather bland, overly-detailed-and-shiny-with-massive-brow-ridges look. As long as he takes care of business as the director and lets talented animators do what they do best, then I'm on board.... |
