Hopefully the manga is more interesting than the movie.

The movie felt like a huge wasted opportunity. The characters hardly interacted, and the move wouldn't have been any different without either cast.

So...both the special AND the movie sucked? Here's hoping the manga improves it.

Got a related question ever since the DCTP had a CnD handed to them has there been any way to watch the show legally?

Yutaka Abe and Jirō Maruden, who drew the three-chapter manga adaptation of the Lupin III vs. Detective Conan television special among other Detective Conan spinoffs, will return to draw the movie adaptation.

Pretty sure the artist's name is "Denjirō Maru" (丸 伝次郎). I own the Detective Conan Special manga series Abe and he worked on and the kanji on their author introductions specifies "Maru" is his family name.

Only the first 123 episodes which FUNimation has (130 if you go by their count). You can stream it legally on their site and a few on Hulu. Past episode 123 we're out of luck for the time being.

I do enjoy the Lupin & Conan crossovers. And I don't think of it as a wasted oppurtunity if this idea has gain a manga adaption.
