These sets are pointless without the Japanese audio, very frankly.

Seriously...Their Facebook page did a poll on how fans preferred to watch the series and half the responses were "Japanese w/ English subs." They're alienating half their fanbase when they do this.

Yu-Gi-Oh subs seem like a pipe dream because of all the name changes and censoring that goes into the card game. The card game gets censored and changed on it's own so there's probably some issues where the American version of the card game wont let the subs use the original Japanese names for the cards or something. I know that's how the manga is like and why I don't support the manga.

I don't mind the English dub only, I don't mind the card changes because I no longer play the card game, but for the life of us all, can we at least get a full season of a Yu-Gi-Oh series that is uncut? Out of all of the first three series, I've always wanted to see 5D's with an English dub and uncut. I guess it's just a pipe dream. Sad

Shame there is still no subbed release, but since I've seen the dub and am used to it, I'll probably buy this, especially if its cheap. 5d's was my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! series, so I want this.

How can anyone of you expect a dual-audio release? You do remember this series was edited right? They couldn't overlay the original Japanese audio since it would never sync up with the edited video. And you're out of your mind if 4K Media is going to go out of their way to release the Japanese version separately.

the thing about adding japanese audio to these releases for kids is it would drastically raise the licensing fees making it too expensive for most families.

the english dub of pokemon, honesty, is not bad.

I saw one episode of yugioh 5D and hated it though. I'm not a yugioh fan at all but the real yugi is not even in 5D.

Its the english dub. No reason to spend a single penny on this garbage. Sorry for these hard words but 4kids raped and killed the badass series that yu gi oh originally is

Well the reason why its english only because of much edits the dub got,it would be impossible to make it dual audio,it would need to contain both video tracks. Hopefully, when Arc v comes to dvd, maybe they can make the dub uncut and add sub episodes to the dvd.

It's been a while but I seem to recall someone releasing one volume of a subbed unedited version of Yu-Gi-Oh years ago and they didn't release more because nobody bought it.

Edit-I looked it up. It was Funimation and they released 3 volumes.

I think your talking about the uncut dvd 4kids released back in 2004,they even included an uncut dub of the original yugioh, but unfortunately because they did little to no advertisement on the Dvds,it was canceled after 3 or 4 volumes.

According to Wikipedia 4kids worked with Funimation on the uncut DVD's but then stopped them due to "legal" reasons. I guess it wasn't due to poor sales then. My mistake.

Well the poor sales could have been part of the reason,by the way,how was 4k media able to release bonds beyond times with the sub if the dub had edits.
