Just shutdown already. You can't even afford to run a website anymore and your going to dub and distribute more anime yeah right just stop wasting time with facebook statements and get your selves sorted.

If they can manage to get some of these things out maybe it'll help them, but like my main man Rick always says "I just don't see the money here, sorry." And for LVB as much as I love the show, I need it to be in HD. Yes, need.

I can't trust this company anymore. I was so excited when they had the rights to Bakuman at one point in time... I still have my first volume DVD of Bakuman.

I got a chance to speak with both Stephanie Sheh (Miho Azuki) and Mike Sinterniklaas (Mashiro Moritaka) at my convention this year. Was told they recorded the 2nd volume of Bakuman DVD, but never got paid for it. Mike even suggested a kick-starter for Bakuman...and I would happily oblige.

I hope that Viz would pick up Bakuman sooner or later.

But Media Blasters already makes me so upset... they promise us things... in the end it gets pulled or something happens.

I remember when Media Blasters came to my convention a couple of years ago...I asked them "Is there any news about Bakuman?" and this was before they announced they gave back the rights to the series. They told me, "We can't say."... I had a deadpan look on my face.

Still looking forward to see more Kitty Media hentai series.
I really enjoyed their last release "Aki Sora".

...I know... Sad

I bought the first Bakuman DVD... the only one that was released. I really wish they'd finish/release the rest of the series.

On the other hand, Media Blasters is responsible for my favorite anime DVD box set, Mirage of Blaze, so I can't totally despise them. Laughing

You've already lost my faith when you call it 'yaoi' manga.

It's moving along, that's something positive.

But instead of new releases they're considering dubbing old releases ... which were so cheap I bought anyway. Does anyone else feel a bit like they're just contributing to a junkie who can't admit they have a problem?

Bakuman? I never cared about it but I wanted more Squid Girl.

Swirl is a "hentai" dubbing studio? What makes them different from a regular studio?

Why? That's the description that all the English manga publishers use for BL, except for SuBLime because they're newer. The idea of calling a product Boys' Love has connotations in the US that are not always positive. (Here's a clue- it's what June calls it too.)

I call them that since other than 4 Urusei Yatsura movies, the only thing they have done are 27 hentai. out of the 5 I've seen, Story of Little Monica is probably the best one

I'll be perfectly honest, everyone involved with Media Blasters deserves to rot in hell for basically blocking someone else from getting Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and only dropping its rights when its probably too late to get picked up by someone else. A black comedy on par imo with Monogatari, that we will probably never see.

And they want to do Yaoi, and make dubs, when they can't even afford to put out shows in sub only.

Swirl's done a lot of non-hentai dubbing. They were basically AnimEigo's third studio in place of Coastal Carolina and Southwyndle. Their first show for Media Blasters, "Marriage," wasn't even hentai. They just kinda evolved into it after MB began dumping all their hentai to Swirl.
