I'm still not sold on the game. They're doing a great job with the fan-service, except for wind waker. But the gameplay seems awful. I'll wait for reviews and try to play it myself before attempting a purchase.

That's nice and all but where's Groose. This is the most important thing to me.

Why do you even bother? You mentioned earlier that you think Dynasty Warriors games are "boring and super repetitive", so how could anything change your mind?

On a side note though, I think this game looks awesome. I'm a huge DW/Zelda fan, and this is going to be a day one purchase. Very Happy

I was pointing out in a chat I was in last night after the Direct, that all of the 14 playable characters so far are from either the Original or Child timelines.

It makes sense not to use the Adult timeline, since the style is completely different and wouldn't really work. But, unless they're trying to place this along the Child timeline, I'm surprised that there's no representation from the Ruined timeline. Especially with the direct prominently featuring clips from A Link Between Worlds, I'm surprised that we have no hints of at least Ravio being playable, if not Hilda as well.

Well, the Child timeline just has more characters that are easier to translate. The Adult timeline has a very different art style (and in the case of WW and PH 90% of the maps in them are covered by water, thus making creating levels difficult) and the Fallen timeline is mostly 2D, thus they'd have to basically make ideas for 3D versions from scratch. It's just an ease of creation thing. Plus ALBW only came out last year anyway when the roster was probably finalized way before then.

Because people like to bang on about the same stuff over and over again despite the point having been made ages ago.

I'm still not sure about this game either. Even though, back in the day, I liked to play beat-ups like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage/Burn Knuckle. But now Musou/Warriors is a theme repeated many times. Zelda has its own unique adventure.

And Ganny is always late.
