Why aren't these games being localized? Digimon is obviously still popular in the West. It may be deemed unpopular because we aren't really getting anything but the original stuff and a little afterwards.

1. BandaiNamco is fickle. You're lucky if you get a digital-only release of an anime game in America like SAO.
2. It's on the Vita. Vita is popular in Japan but in America they try to market it to the indie/dudebro crowd who don't buy anime games, which is why BandaiNamco is like that
3. Digimon is seen as a kids brand in America. Yasuda's art is fine for a kids show in Japan, but in America it would be censored for being too sexy.
4. Digimon's not really popular anymore in America, especially with kids. They didn't even release the Adventure game which they could have tried to pander to the nostalgia audience with, but nope

Dont worry though, you get the American-exclusive Digimon-All Star Rumble game, though.

Ughhh

Tokomon has the right reaction to her.

Also, her name is Kyoko, she wears gloves, and is a detective. Yeah.

Rina needs to return so Kyoko can search her.

I've always liked Digimon over Pokemon. Didn't really care for Pokemon at all. Digimon always seem more interesting.

I keep seeing posts of people thinking this would be censored. Bamco would not censor this. If they did it would sell 0 because all the people who actually own vitas and want games uncensored wouldnt get it.

The Adventure game is actually near impossible to localize due to various things regarding staff, voice acting, and the fact it'd be one hell of a challenge to secure near any of the creative licenses for the Adventure dub, so I don't think that one has much relevance to the current new games.

If that is the case, then the only chance Digimon has at returning to the mainstream is if 1) a studio in the U.S. is interested in producing a PG-13 rated animated film re-imagining of Digimon that can cater to new kids and long-time Digimon fans (and make sure to have the digi-destined as a group including both kids and adults), or b) a U.S. for-all-ages comic book re-imagining of Digimon gets published. If not, all hope is dead. Sad
