The ALfheim arc was utter rubbish in the anime. I hope it makes a better game. Might play it on the PS3 if it is released in PAL.

This is based on his return to the game after the GGO story, the upcoming arc in the anime, not the previous one. But it's an original story anyway so it doesn't really matter.

You're right. I misread and thought it would tell the story of the Fairy Dance light novels. I'm glad that it's an original story, though the game could be fun either way if they just do it right.

Hoping that if Bamco decides to release this in English, they give it a halfway decent translation. Hollow Fragment was a decent RPG, but the horrendous English translation (which fluctuated between normal English and total gibberish) killed it for me.

I'll keep an eye out for an English release, but wait for reviews to make any decision.

Aweome that it takes place in ALO and isn't just another Infinity Moment expansion.

I actually did consider getting Hollow Fragment, but once word got out about the shoddy translation... Pass with a capital "P." Somebody at Bamco definitely dropped the ball.

Another flaw of Hollow Fragment's NA release: Lack of English voiceover. Christine Cabanos as Silica and Sarah Williams as Lisbeth, or I'm not buying. (On a related note, MORE DEBAN.)

The translation isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I mean it's still pretty bad but it's good enough that you can still understand what's happening. Hopefully it sold well enough for bandai to consider a better translation for this new game.

Seconding the translation on Hollow Fragment. It's not anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be. If you have a basic understanding of English it is easy enough to get along. There are some sentences that will still make you go, what did I just read? But overall it's passable. I'm not willing to pass up a quality game just because the translation is not up to normal standards, gameplay is what counts for me.

They've been fumbling translations this year quite a bit year. Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn and SAO had cruddy translations and Tales of Hearts R looks to be following suit as well. The connecting factor? All sub only releases.

Every time someone calls SAO:HF out on its shoddy Engrish script I feel depressed that I've seen worse English from office workers.

Ah, I love my country >_>

Well as long as I know what's going on fine by me. Not a big fan of fairies but at least flying counts for something.

hope it comes to EU as well though that probably won't happen. But I did read about Hollow Fragment having decent sale numbers on VITA so maybe they'll give it a chance? I don't even care for the crap translations. I just need this game

Why don't you think it will come to EU? Since Hollow Fragment did, I thought there'd be a good chance.

well I guess it wise to assume its not going to be released, like a lot of games. Though theres indeed a chance since HF did well. it's a waiting game really
