Seems like a bit of an odd choice for a physical release. It's a fun enough series to watch but not the sort of thing I'd want to splash out on to watch again.

Isn't this like a kids' anime? I doubt Sentai will have a market for it.

I am waiting for Sentai to pick up Chaika 2 and Shirobako.

Yeah =/ I was expecting, I dunno, Viz Media to get it and find a way to air it on TV. Seems wasted on a home video release.

Here I am, someone who adores animes aimed at kids, and it just so happens that this is one kids show I actually don't watch because of reasons (If there's 1 thing I will never get into, it's dancing).

I'm not sure if Im more dumbfounded that this was licensed, or that Sentai of all companies licensed it. I wonder if this means this show won't be an endless long runner? This is a suprise favorite of the season though so I'll keep my eye on this release.

I like dancing but I checked out the first ep and it feels kinda cheesy and well, very kiddie. Seems more like something Saban would license or something to get on Nickelodeon.

If people are interested in a funding a dance themed show targeting an older crowd, featuring Hiroshi Shimizu there is Urbance

I'm glad this will get a proper release and not be condemned to a terrible censored/localized dub. Seems proper releases are way too rare for these kinds of anime.

IMO late night anime has nothing on daytime "kids shows" these days. The latter has just been so much more enjoyable for me on average.

I just checked out the first episode on Crunchyroll and I can definitely say the show looks right up my alley. I love cheesiness and goofy energy in cartoons, and Tribe Cool Crew seems to offer plenty of both. It certainly features a refreshing subject -we don't see many dance-obsessed boys star in western cartoons, and the energetic animation really captured the kid's passion. Interestingly, his voice reminded me a lot of Megumi Han's portrayal of Gon in Hunter x Hunter.

I for one am glad to see a professional licensing company take a chance on a kids show. Japan makes some of the best cartoons for younger audiences in the world, and yet most of them never make it stateside. Unfortunately, those that do often receive the dishonor of a 4Kids/Saban-esque localization.
